(Skilling & opportunities for youth employment and entrepreneurship (SOYEE)In addressing the challenges and barriers to skilling, employment, and entrepreneurship for young people, especially girls, Dream village in partnership with plan international Rwanda in implementing the SOYEE project.The project’s key interventions, include mobilizing local communities to support gender-equal and inclusive training and employment pathways, linking young people to gender-sensitive and demand-driven vocational/technical and entrepreneurship training, promoting and supporting youth-friendly financial services, promoting and supporting youth-friendly Business Development Services (BDS), and facilitating young people’s access to networks and links to information and opportunities.Inclusivity is a cornerstone of these interventions, embracing young people with special needs to ensure no one is left behind. The project works to create accessible training programs and employment pathways that cater to the unique needs of young people with disabilities. This includes providing assistive technologies, ensuring physical accessibility in training centers, and offering tailored support services. Additionally, the project collaborates with organizations that specialize in disability inclusion to develop best practices and create an environment where all young people, regardless of their abilities, can thrive.Besides interventions directly related to skilling, employment, and entrepreneurship for young people, especially girls, other components of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Child Protection (CP), Early Childhood Development (ECD), and Disaster Risk Management and Resilience (DRMR) are incorporated project implementation.
